It seems that the hillock was certainly there. One can even notice the pathway going up it. Was there a shrine up there? Meanwhile here is another view of the bridge at Sumbal. Is that Aha-teng hillock?

Firstly, Mr. Murdoch seems to have a talent for misplacing mountains. Even in Shah Hamdan picture he has shown a non existent mountain rage beyond Gandarbal range.

The illustrations were first published in 'Church Missionary Intelligencer' (1854). And the mount is in fact in Baramulla. Went to the place to check 🙂
