I was told about Haak by a Kashmiri friend and I thought it sounded strangely similar to what we eat in Andhra " Batchala" which is Malabar Spinach, its a vine and not really a spinach…so wanted to see what it looked like! Haak is more Collard greens maybe?

I guess Haak would be Collard. Batchala seems interesting. No, I am not based in Kashmir, my father is right now. I am planning to visit sometime later this year.

Yes, even in my family puhur was always treated as a delicacy by us kids. The browner the crispier the better!
